Ideally, System 2 corrects System 1’s quick, flawed judgments. But in reality, System 2 is often distracted, letting System 1 lead the way.
Say you had a bad experience with a car brand. System 1 might instantly reject that brand next time, even if reviews and data say it's reliable. Only a strong System 2 will reflect, and override that emotional bias.
