If you love what you do, it’s all too easy for it to consume your identity—especially if your career is demanding and fast-paced. If you can’t find anything they’re interested in outside of work, explore your city without any agenda. The only rule is to pay attention to what piques your interest. Because that’ll likely point you in the right direction.After you’ve gathered some data on what you might be curious about, give yourself several months to explore these interests.Don’t be surprised if you feel some discomfort. You might be used to being in charge and being seasoned at work. Try to embrace the unfamiliar, and focus on the process.

In other words, our home is no longer the place we exclusively relax and leave work behind.</li><li>Boundaries are critical when you’re just starting your career, too. You might be tempted to work long hours and be available to your clients all the time. However, it’s best to set boundaries right away. </li><li>Other examples of boundaries include: not responding to work-related matters on weekends, and requesting another team member if you’re feeling overworked or overburdened.</li></ul>

Revisit old hobbies and relationships

We have to intentionally create space for our true selves to emerge, which means holding time for ourselves to just be. This is also a helpful way to practice tolerating discomfort.You might spend 20 minutes in the morning drinking your coffee or tea, without any digital devices, or spend Sunday afternoons by yourself. Notice what thoughts and feelings arise. Where does your mind go when there’s no task or structure?

Create space to just be

Check out local meet-up groups, spiritual centers, or adult sports teams. Think about other places around potential passions, such as book clubs, art clubs, and non-profit organizations. Experiment with new experiences. Even if you end up not enjoying an experience, that’s still important information.

How to Figure Out Who You Are Outside of Work

Among immediate colleagues, it’s easy to spot two groups of people: genuine friends, who make each workday a little brighter; and sworn enemies – the people who will deliberately make your life hard for no reason. But what about all those people in the middle? 
These colleagues may offer a sympathetic ear to your woes, but then go and gossip about them behind your back. Or they’ll defend you from criticism, but then take sole credit for a joint project, erasing your contributions without a backward glance. They help and they hurt too, they are frenemies, or “ambivalent relationships”.

The Friend Who Is Also An Enemy

There is no doubt true friends bring enormous benefits to our overall health and wellbeing. A huge scientific literature now shows our social connections can raise our self-esteem and help us to recover from stress more quickly. This not only reduces our risk of mental illness , but also reduces risk of physical disease and death. 
Unsurprisingly, the wholly negative relationships in our lives have the opposite effects: research shows that psychologically abusive colleagues or family members can be enormously detrimental to our overall health.

If frenemies, in general, have been understudied, then their role in workplace politics is even less well understood. This is a shame, since many job environments may be particularly ripe for the creation and maintenance of ambivalent relationships. Organisations often force us into interactions with people we wouldn’t choose to have in our social networks.

It is the sense of professional competition that injects negativity into the working relationship. You may find your colleague to be very likeable, for example, and you would happily go for a drink with them. 
Yet you feel betrayed when they apply for the same promotion as you. It’s normal that people want to get ahead but also get along with their colleagues at the same time.

A study questioned US retail employees about their colleagues. She found that the nature of the ambivalent relationships depended on people’s desires for closeness. The more people wanted to establish a connection with their frenemy, the more likely they were to both help and hinder their partner in their work. In other words, the positive intentions meant that every element of the relationship – good and bad – was more intense. “It makes the ambivalence more salient.

Your desire for closeness will amplify the ambivalent feelings. 
And so, if you are starting to feel too stressed by the relationship, you might aim to become a bit more realistic in your expectations of what your frenemy will provide, without necessarily cutting them out of your life altogether.

Time as we know it started on October 22, 1884.Hours were invented much later and seconds hundreds of years later. The first mechanical clock was built during the Renaissance.

How We Decide What Time It Really Is

Even after the invention of "Time", problems(a lot of them) were there. Like if your watch showed 10:20 and your friends watch showed 10:27 who was right? In the 19th century an English woman named Ruth Belville saw this as an opportunity and started syncing people's watch to hers telling them her time was correct.

We didn't really needed timezones before that because there wasn't any need for it. People couldn't travel to the other half of the world back then and certainly couldn't communicate with people in other time zones.Time standardising became a thing when trains started as it became very annoying to change your watch's time every few minutes.

To combat this the US President Chester A. Arthur called a conference of 26 countries.Finally on October 22nd, 1884 the world was put into timezones in 1 hour deviations and the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England was set as the reference.

Such stories are the exception rather than the norm. Starting young can have some clear advantages. For one thing, it gives you much more time to fail the several times most entrepreneurs do before they put it all together and succeed.But overall, the research suggests, older age is associated with higher levels of entrepreneurial success.

A 50-year-old founder was 1.8 times more likely to achieve “upper-tail growth” than a 30-year-old founder. Those in their early 20s had the lowest likelihood of success.

Entrepreneurship may therefore be a viable alternative to mature-aged unemployment.There is, however, compelling evidence that aspiring mature-aged entrepreneurs require specialized government support and incentives, both to start their businesses and grow their businesses.Government initiatives such as the Entrepreneur’s Program (formerly the Entrepreneurship Infrastructure Program) and Entrepreneurs Facilitators, for example, could be better designed to account for the specific needs of mature-aged entrepreneurs.

Keeping your nutrition in check can be tough when your home is your office. You feel comfortable and there’s plenty of food available.
And unlike in the office, you’re free to graze all day and the fridge is all yours. But this habit can wreak havoc on your waistline, sabotage weight loss and halt your productivity.

Work From Home And Nutrition

Try to set up your desk in an area that’s not near the kitchen. You might be tempted to wander over and check the fridge if it’s constantly in your line of vision. 
Decide that the only time you’ll be in your kitchen during the workday is when you’re getting ready to have a planned snack or meal. If this is hard to follow, hang a sign on your fridge and pantry to remind you that the kitchen is closed until the next scheduled meal or snack.

Just as you schedule and plan out the rest of your day (get up, workout, shower), establish when throughout the day you’re going to eat. If you know you like to eat lunch around noon, plan for that. 
And if you like to have a snack in the late afternoon, plan for that as well. Treat food like you would in the office. You can’t be grazing all day long when you’re there – so act the same way at home.

Once you hit the ground running, err, working, it can be hard to take a break to actually eat. But it’s important to know your hunger signs and realize that not eating can affect your alertness and productivity. 
Plus, eating throughout the day can save you from being a big hangry mess once 5 o’clock rolls around. If needed, set an alarm on your phone to remind you to get up and eat something.

There’s something freeing about being able to whip up whatever you want to eat for lunch (and not having to stand in line for the work microwave is a huge bonus). 
But for some people, the freedom is too much, especially when it comes to weekday lunches. If you can, try to meal prep your lunches ahead of time, just like you would on days you physically go to work.

Balanced, nutritious food makes us more productive. It keeps us fuller longer and helps us focus. Understand that what you eat will impact your mood and energy level. 
Think about this the next time you’re feeling hungry and just want to grab a handful of chocolate from the pantry. Focus on protein, fiber, healthy fats, fruits and veggies.

Dehydration can lead to headaches and fatigue, which are both not good for your productivity. 
Just as you’d fill up a water bottle at the office to keep at your desk, keep water next to your work station at home too. If you have water readily available, chances are you’re more likely to drink it, helping you reach your goal of at least 64 ounces per day.

Having access to endless cups of coffee might seem like a great idea, but tread carefully when it comes to caffeine. Too much is known to cause headaches, anxiety, digestive issues and even fatigue – none of which are ever good, but particularly not good when you’re trying to work. 
Aim for no more than two cups of coffee per day to avoid the jittery feeling and avoid flavored creamers and other high calorie add-ins!

Try you best to keep junk food out of your house, especially foods you know can trigger a binge for you. Out of sight, out of mind.

Instead, take a break from work to sit down at a table to enjoy your lunch and relax for a few minutes. You’ll enjoy the meal more, and it may even help you feel more prepared for the rest of your work day.

Never eat out of the bag or original container, as it’s much harder to control portions that way. Check the serving size on the container if you need extra guidance. 
For meals, try the healthy plate method: Fill half a 9-inch plate with non-starchy vegetables, one-fourth the plate with a lean protein (poultry, seafood, beans, eggs, tofu, cottage cheese or Greek yogurt) and one-fourth the plate with a high fiber carbohydrate (fruit, whole grains or starchy vegetables).
